In the field of mold making, toolmakers (m/f/d) primarily manufacture molds from special steel alloys for the metal or plastics processing industry. They produce individual mold components according to technical drawings, both manually and by machine. They operate computer-controlled machines and develop specialized work programs. Toolmakers (m/f/d) specializing in mold making then assemble the pre-fabricated metal parts into a complete mold. Afterward, they inspect the mold for precision.
